Maybe he could manage to keep his impulses under control? That seemed to be the easiest solution, considering the alternatives. Summer would make him sweat excessively, releasing scents that might attract unwanted attention. It was a dilemma – to handle the sunburn and exertion, or to satiate his need for blood.

Niall was a unique creature burdened with a vengeful stepmother, Queen Cairene, who had cursed the Cael Family. She had wreaked havoc, tearing his family apart and forcing a terrible fate upon him and his brother Conn. Their lives were marked by an eternal struggle, enduring suffering since 1066 A.D.

The rest of their family had scattered, each finding a way to survive and grow stronger, distancing themselves to develop resistance against magic and witchcraft. Some had even developed powers of their own.

“Sir, you’ll have to start in Corral C. This is Corral A, and you have to qualify for this group,” a volunteer informed him, trying to guide him to the correct corral.

“My woman is up here,” Niall blurted out, not fully understanding why those words had escaped his lips. He wasn’t about to lose sight of the captivating woman in pink spandex. He used a subtle form of mind control, ensuring the volunteer didn’t bother him further.
