She finds relief only in cutting himself from society. John, the bereaved husband, is unable to cope with the demands of his job, fatherhood, and Tully’s bizarre behavior. However, life goes on, and the pain, while ever-present, fades into the background as everyone begins to adjust to the fact that Kate is gone forever. They all have to learn to forgive each other and to themselves, and try to rebuild their lives without Kate’s steady hand to guide them.

The author chooses such a beautiful and well-managed subject for readers to understand and enjoy this reading, the characters and words in this story speak of love, loss, heartbreak, tragedy, and difficult life lessons.
