This is another John Grisham legal thriller. This is one of his best novels; this is a very amazing and inspiring read about people who dedicate their lives to fighting to free innocent people from prisons. It’s hard to imagine what someone would feel emotionally if they were wrongly accused of a crime, found guilty, and then sentenced to years in prison. Every innocent person needs someone to fight for them in life, and people who work in organizations similar to the one in this story are truly guardian angels.

This book is based on a true story, which is amazing; this book is worth reading. The basic premise is about a charity that functions as a law firm that finds inmates who have been found guilty and incarcerated even though they were actually innocent. In this mystery, the writer has created some interesting and likable characters, a clergyman, a former convict, a computer expert, and a woman who controls and runs the Guardian Ministry along with Cullen like clockwork. This book will keep you in suspense as the action escalates with twists. The main character of this story is Cullen Post, a lawyer, and Episcopal minister, promises to help the innocent and the unjustly imprisoned. So far he has managed to free eight innocent people of the crimes that had locked them up. Together with one of the eight he saved, Frankie Tatum, he investigates the crimes of these innocent men until he finds a way to clear them. There is danger around every corner because there are those who do not want the innocent to be released, thus discovering the real killers.

The dialogues in this story flow naturally and realistically, in this book you read about many people on death row in prisons that are innocent and that there are people working to get them released. This story educates and gives hope to these innocent people. You see many good people being saved from that system after years and years of suffering in prison, but in the end, you see that goodness overcomes greed and evil, and forgiveness blossoms. Sometimes it takes a bit of effort to get to these things, but a quick and judicious reading of a few pages solves the problem, this book is educational, inspiring, and the ending is absolutely wonderful.
